2.0 out of 5 stars. Altra superior 5 trail running shoesReviewed by B from California on Saturday, June 1, 2024These shoes are comfortable on flat dry surfaces. However there is not enough cushioning against rocks, etc. Also with any contact with a wet or damp surface they become like ice skates. VERY DANGEROUS! There is zero traction on rocks, mud, etc. NOT GRIPPY at all!!!
They should not be advertised as trail shoes. -

I got some and they were too flat for my instep. They pushed down on the top of my foot. Until I found these in WIDE! Didn’t realize they came in wide until I saw these. Bought them and took them straight on vacation where we walked 15000 steps per day with zero issues. No blisters. No pain. Highly recommend.

Comfortable, but not durable.Reviewed by A-a-ron from Montana on Saturday, May 18, 2024These shoes are very comfortable for daily wear, but if you put them to the test for trail running they will fall apart fast. The bottom tread on the front part of the shoe started peeling apart In a few weeks of wear...and I didn't even run in them. With very mild usage, the bottom treads will start to come apart. I do like the wide-ish toe box they have, and I love the comfort. Everything besides the tread has held up really well. So if you're going to buy these shoes, buy them for daily wear and not trail running.
